Wild vanilla bean pods from the heart of Oaxaca's cloud forests.

·      Each order contains two pods in a resealable glass tube.

·      Certified Organic & Grade A Quality.

·      Black, plump, and pliable vanilla bean pods, each measuring 6-7 inches (approximately 16 cm).

·      Cured for 6-9 months to ensure exceptional flavour.

·      Use the seeds from the pods in your baking and cooking as an alternative to vanilla extract.

About These Vanilla Beans

These bean pods are the precious fruit of the vanilla planifolia orchid, which takes 3-7 years to mature. These vanilla plants grow wild on our coffee farms and the surrounding jungle. In the wild, the endangered Melipona bee is the sole pollinator of the Planifolia orchid. Unlike commercially grown hand-pollinated vanilla, our vanilla beans come exclusively from these naturally fertilized orchids.

Cooking Tips

When cooking or baking with whole vanilla beans, slice them lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. Use the husks to infuse your dish with vanilla (or save for another recipe), and remove them before serving. Store unused beans unrefrigerated in their original tubes.
